- Research Background: I worked for 15 years as a lab technician for the USDA-ARS Crop Production and Pest Control Unit in West Lafayette, Indiana, where I researched the Hessian fly, an insect pest of wheat. I worked for two years as a Research Associate at the USDA-ARS Beneficial Insects Introduction Research Unit in Newark, Delaware, where I studied the localization of species-specific chemical signals that may play a role in host selection to the antennae of parasitoid wasps.
- Favorite Thing about being a Cobra: I really enjoy interacting with the mix of students I see in my classroom. I have hometown and international students, first-generation scholars, and nontraditional learners. I love seeing the world’s diversity reflect back at me from their seats.
